At Galerie Mirages we are committed to high ethical standards, and we responsibly source fair trade products where possible. We stock products from many small scale businesses in Asia and Africa, buying direct from suppliers, artisans and crafts people, to encourage the development of skills in small communities.
We pay a fair price for the products we source internationally, and aim to make a positive ethical and economic impact through our business. Our ethical principles are at the heart of our business, and we are committed to personally sourcing beautiful products from all over the world, often buying directly from the producers themselves.
Galerie Mirages supports a number of projects which help provide education to children and young people who are refugees from South Sudan. Through the sale of its greetings cards the Galerie supports, Madef an educational self help group of South Sudanese refugees, the Joliba trust which works in Mali, and Love in Action which works in India.
Sheila has travelled to Kenya where she worked with Vision Africa on a small scale project designing jewellery and fabric crafts which are stocked in Galerie Mirages.
